Development History

 

In November 1993, Qingdao Haier Refrigerator Co., Ltd., was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

In the first half of 1996, Haier implemented a share allotment program in which three shares are allotted for ten shares and four shares when converting with the placement price of each share at 5.80 yuan.

In 1997, Haier implemented a share allotment program in which three shares are allotted for ten shares, with the placement price of each share at 6.80 yuan. Haier Group transferred its 20.01% stake to its holding subsidiary, Qingdao Haier Washing Machine Co., Ltd. (later renamed "Haier Electric Appliances International Co., Ltd"), while still retaining 38.08% stake in the total capital shares.

In 1999, Haier implemented a share allocation program in which three shares are allotted for ten shares, with the placement price of each share at 11.60 yuan.

In March 2000, the joint venture Haier Group E-commerce Co., Ltd. was established. In May, the 98.15% stake in Zhangqiu Haier Electromotor Co., Ltd. held by Haier Group was transferred to the new joint venture.

In January 2001, a further 100 million shares were issued, with an issue price of 18 yuan per share. In March, 74.45% of the share rights for Qingdao Haier Air Conditioner Co., Ltd. held by the Group were transferred to the new venture, leaving the company with 99.95% of the share rights upon completion of the transfer. In May, the company changed its name to "Qingdao Haier Co., Ltd." In August, the Haier Group injected the 14.71% of the company share rights held into Haier Electric Appliances International Co., Ltd, as a capital increase.

In 2002, the company and Group jointly funded the establishment of Haier Finance Co., Ltd, with the company holding 30% of the share rights.

A share reform program was initiated in 2006.

Implementation of the 2006 targeted placement program was completed in May 2007: 142,046,347 RMB of ordinary shares were issued to Haier Group to purchase 75% stake in Qingdao Air Conditioning Co., Ltd., 80% stake in Hefei Haier Air Conditioner Co., Ltd., 60% stake in Wuhan Haier Electronics Co., Ltd., and 59% stake in Haier Electronics Co., Ltd., Guizhou.

In 2008, 392,677,482 Haier Electronics Group Co., Ltd. shares were acquired (Hong Kong listed company; Name: "Haier Electronics"; Code: 01169.HK), a total of 20.01% of its total share capital.

In May 2009, the first phase of an equity incentive plan was launched. The equity incentive plan was approved in September. In December, 647,115,119 shares were received from Haier Electronics, 31.93% of its total share capital. After the transfer, the company held a 51% stake in Haier Electronics.

In August 2010, the company's holding subsidiary, Haier Electronics, acquired the share rights to Qingdao Haier Logistics Co., Ltd. In September, the second phase of the equity incentive plan was launched. The equity incentive plan was approved in January of the following year.

In June 2011, shares in 10 companies, including Qingdao Haier Moulds Co., Ltd., were acquired. The company's holding subsidiary acquired shares in Qingdao Goodaymart Electronics Service Co., Ltd.

In May 2012, the third phase of the equity incentive plan was launched. The equity incentive plan was approved the same month.

Haier Global
