According to Reuters, in a 2013 survey conducted by Euromonitor on the global market for large home appliances, Haier’s retail sales have topped the global market for the fifth consecutive year, with a 9.7% market share. Haier also topped the survey’s manufacturer list for the first time with an 11.6% market share. Additionally, Haier continued to lead the industry in refrigerator, washing machine, wine cooler, and freezer segments. Euromonitor is a U.K.-based market intelligence firm with 41 years of industry experience.
On this day, Haier Group was recognized by the first China Quality Award from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).
For the third consecutive year, Haier was selected by Forbes as Asia’s Fabulous 50, the best of Asia Pacific’s biggest publicly traded companies. The 2013 list includes 20 companies from mainland China and 6 companies from Taiwan and Hong Kong. Selected from more than 1,200 companies, these companies are analyzed in several areas, including revenue, profits, return on capital, share-price movements and outlook. The selected companies are the region’s best of the best. Qingdao Haier, a listed company of Haier Group, has continued to increase the value of its high-quality assets while achieving remarkable revenue growth against the backdrop of a general slowdown in the home appliance industry. The award ceremony was held in Beijing.
On this day, Haier was named one of Best China Brands 2013 by Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consulting firm. Haier tops China’s home appliance industry with a brand valuation of CNY 5.488 bn, which grew 14% from the previous year.
