On December 18, the 2011 China Management Accounting Action Learning Summit and Omar Awards Ceremony sponsored by the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) was held in Beijing. Haier Group was awarded the 2011 Management Accounting Action Learning Enterprise Prize for its win-win model of individual-goal combination.
On December 15, the world-renowned consumer market research organization Euromonitor International released data from its latest 2011 global household appliance market survey. Haier Group occupied a market share of 7.8% in the large household appliances market, putting the Group at No.1 for the third consecutive year. The global market shares for refrigerators, washing machines and wine coolers came in at No.1 once more, with retail shares showing Haier as the No.1 global wine cooler brand and manufacturer for the first time. Haier Group has received a total of eight awards so far, including Number One Global Large Home Appliance Brand, Number One Global Refrigerator Brand and Number One Global Refrigerator Manufacturer, Number One Global Washing Machine Brand, Number One Global Wine Cooler Brand and Number One Global Wine Cooler Manufacturer, Number One Global Freezer Brand and Number One Global Manufacturer.
The selection results of the 6th Most Globally Competitive Chinese Companies, co-sponsored by the Roland Berger Company and Global Entrepreneur magazine, were recently announced. Haier Group was named one of the six Global Market Operations prize winners, along with Lenovo. This selection was the first using the global market as a coordinate system and global competitiveness as an assessment factor when evaluating the international maturity of Chinese companies.
