Lacking Related Technology neither at Home nor Abroad

As one of the candidates of spacecraft refrigerator suppliers to be selected by China Astronaut Research and Training Center, Haier’s spacecraft refrigerator R&D team made intense debates on whether should carry this project or not. The field of spacecraft refrigerator had been long controlled by United States and Russia in terms of key technology. What’s more, there was not a single relatively mature model at home for Haier to take for reference. Therefore, it would be a hot potato for Haier to carry.

 We can do what others can’t

The R&D Team of Haier Spacecraft Refrigerator reviewed the challenge: Taking on it could be both a tough task and an opportunity of challenging and self-improving for Haier; while giving it up, Haier would reject a rare opportunity to realize self-value.

Haier, as the leading producer of white goods in the world, Haier was responsible for taking this project of top challenge. Backing on the top level system of R&D, manufacturing and quality management, Haier dared to bet on this extremely hard mission. Through analyzing, Haier announced its ambition: taking on the project.

Having strong R&D team, which includes over 8,156 research personnels and 7 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, Haier stood firmly against the unprecedented difficulty. Haier made this bold decision because it had one national key laboratory and two national engineering laboratories, and its technology center had been assessed as No.1 among all China’s SOE technology centers for consecutive ten years. What’s more, Haier, with regard to quality management, had a world leading inspection and examination system with 175 inspection laboratories. All these were the source of Haier’s confidence.

“We can do what others can’t; and we strive to be the best!” It is exactly what the R&D Team of Haier Spacecraft Refrigerator upholds for innovation, thus it can overcome difficulties one after another and managed to provide China’s aerospace industry with superb spacecraft refrigerators.
